# How to request a new brand to be added to the platform

## Request a New Brand in the Platform

We’re continuously expanding the platform’s brand database, so you may occasionally search for one that hasn’t been added yet.

To check, start by searching for the brand in the platform. If it isn’t currently tracked, it will appear with a ‘New Term’ label and return no results.

Clicking on ‘New Term:’ opens a detail page where you can submit a request to add the brand. To do this, click ‘Request New Term.’

**Note**: In your request, be sure to specify that the submission is for a brand so it can be properly added to BrandPulse, our brand and influencer tracking module.

**Note**: Search data for that brand will only be visible to users whose package includes BrandPulse. If you’re unsure, check with your Customer Success Manager!

The brand will still be added to the Social Stream in TrendPulse, so if it posts about a particular trend and includes that trend in its caption, you’ll be able to see it there even without BrandPulse access.
